Greenburgh COVID19: April 11

It's been three days since we last looked at the Greenburgh numbers:

ow the new Greenburgh numbers:
Unincorporated Greenburgh:    460
Greenburgh Villages:                381
Town of Greenburgh Total:      841

Village Breakdown
Elmsford:       52
Ardsley:          46
Tarrytown:      99
Irvington:        39
Dobbs Ferry:   92
Hastings:         53

The County's reported total reported above (18,029), however, lags far behind the NYS numbers released for today for Westchester (18,729) indicating that the county has geographically identified 52% of the cases. Applying this 52% rate to the County's chart, we can now project the number of Greenburgh cases as:
Unincorporated Greenburgh:  885
Greenburgh Villages:              733
Town total                            1,588

An interesting point that can noted above is the widely growing gap between cases in Unincorporated Greenburgh and the incorporated villages.

  1. it’s an 8% difference. given large sections of hartsdale have no or few young people and the average age of gcsd is much higher than the river villages this may not be surprising esp when coupled with the economic differences between the villages and unincorporated greenburgh (outside of affluent edgemont) which in general lead to better health incomes. one might add the erratic grandstanding by the town supervisor has been counterproductive. he is floundering and looks increasingly like trump - giving a book report without ever reading the book. one hopes the hna will find some backbone and demand his resignation as well s that of the rest of the missing in action jokers
    on the town board.
